1. INTRODUCTION AND ACCEPTANCE

1.1 About the Bring-Am Platform
Bring-Am operates a technology platform that connects customers who want to order food with restaurants and independent delivery riders who fulfil those orders. Bring-Am provides the technology, not the delivery service.
1.2 Agreement to Terms
By registering as a Bring-Am rider, completing the onboarding process, or accepting your first delivery request, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
1.3 Independent Contractor Relationship
IMPORTANT: You are an independent contractor, not an employee of Bring-Am.
This means:
You are self-employed and operate your own business
You are not entitled to employee benefits (health insurance, pension, paid leave)
You are responsible for your own taxes and business expenses
You have the freedom to accept or decline delivery requests
You control your working hours and schedule
You can work with other delivery platforms
No employment, partnership, or joint venture relationship exists
1.4 Eligibility
To become a Bring-Am rider, you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Be a Nigerian citizen or have legal authorization to work in Nigeria
Possess a valid means of identification
Own or have legal access to a vehicle (motorcycle, bicycle, or car)
Hold a valid driver's license (if using a motorized vehicle)
Have a smartphone capable of running the Bring-Am rider app
Maintain a bank account for receiving payments

Roadworthiness certificate (if required)
Additional Requirements:
Guarantor information (name, address, phone number)
Emergency contact details
2.2 Document Verification
All documents will be verified by Bring-Am
You must provide clear, legible copies or photos
Documents must be current and valid
False or fraudulent documents will result in immediate disqualification
2.3 Background Check
Bring-Am may conduct background checks including:
Identity verification
Criminal record check (if applicable)
Driving record check (for motorized vehicles)
Reference checks
2.4 Onboarding Process
Submit your application and documents online
Attend an orientation session (online or in-person)
Complete training on the rider app and delivery procedures
Receive your rider kit (delivery bag, branded clothing if applicable)
Account activation (typically 3-7 business days)
2.5 Rider Kit
You may receive:
Insulated delivery bag
Branded t-shirt or jacket (optional)
Rider identification card
These items remain the property of Bring-Am and must be returned if you stop riding.
2.6 Updates to Information
You must immediately notify Bring-Am of any changes to:
Contact information
Bank account details
Vehicle information
License or insurance expiration
Failure to update information may delay payments or result in account suspension.

3. USING THE RIDER APP
3. USING THE RIDER APP
3.1 Going Online
Open the Bring-Am rider app
Toggle your status to "Available" to start receiving delivery requests
Ensure you have a reliable internet connection and GPS enabled
You can go offline at any time
3.2 Receiving Delivery Requests
When a delivery request comes in, you'll see:
Restaurant name and location
Customer delivery location
Estimated distance
Estimated earnings for the delivery
Pickup and delivery addresses
3.3 Accepting Requests
You have a limited time to accept requests (typically 15-30 seconds)
You may accept or decline requests at your discretion
However, maintaining a reasonable acceptance rate improves your access to deliveries
3.4 Declining Requests
You may decline requests for valid reasons:
The delivery location is too far
You're not familiar with the area
Weather conditions are unsafe
You need to take a break
Important: Excessive declines may affect your priority for receiving future requests.
3.5 Navigating to Pickup
Use the in-app navigation or your preferred navigation app
Head to the restaurant promptly
Update your status when you arrive at the restaurant
3.6 Order Pickup
Announce yourself to restaurant staff
Provide the order number or customer name
Verify the order contents if possible (check items against receipt)
Ensure food is properly packaged and secured
Confirm pickup in the app
3.7 Delivery Process
Navigate to the customer's location using the address provided
Handle the order with care to prevent spillage or damage
Contact the customer if you have trouble finding the location
Follow any special delivery instructions
Be professional and courteous upon arrival
3.8 Completing Delivery
Hand the order to the customer or place at the door for contactless delivery
Confirm delivery in the app
Collect payment if it's a cash-on-delivery order
Take a photo of delivery (if required by app for contactless delivery)
3.9 Multiple Deliveries (Batching)
You may be assigned multiple orders from the same restaurant or nearby restaurants
Follow the app's suggested delivery sequence
Each delivery will be compensated separately

Valid registration, insurance, and driver's license
Must be clean and presentable
Functioning air conditioning (for food safety)
4.2 Personal Presentation
Maintain a clean, neat appearance
Wear the provided branded clothing (if applicable)
Practice good personal hygiene
Present your rider ID if requested by customers or restaurants
4.3 Professional Conduct
You must:
Be polite and respectful to customers, restaurant staff, and Bring-Am support
Communicate clearly and professionally
Follow traffic laws and safety regulations
Handle all orders with care
Respond to messages and calls promptly
Maintain the confidentiality of customer information
You must not:
Engage in rude, aggressive, or threatening behavior
Discriminate against customers or restaurants based on race, religion, gender, or any protected characteristic
Make unwanted sexual advances or inappropriate comments
Use offensive language
Smoke while handling deliveries
Appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol
4.4 Food Safety
Keep food at appropriate temperatures using insulated bags
Separate hot and cold items when possible
Ensure packaging remains sealed and intact
Never open, tamper with, or consume customer orders
If an order is damaged during delivery, contact support immediately
4.5 Safety Requirements
Always wear a helmet (if using motorcycle or bicycle)
Obey all traffic laws and speed limits
Do not use your phone while driving (pull over to check the app)
Avoid riding in dangerous weather unless absolutely safe
You have the right to refuse deliveries in unsafe conditions

You are responsible for:
Keeping your vehicle in good working condition
Ensuring your phone is charged and functional

Replacing damaged equipment

Second instance: Temporary account restriction
Third instance: Account suspension or deactivation
Serious violations may result in immediate termination without warning.

Your account may be temporarily suspended for:
Rating below 4.0/5.0
Completion rate below 90%
Excessive customer complaints
Violation of conduct standards
Late document renewal

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for all costs including:
Vehicle purchase, rental, or lease
Fuel and maintenance
Vehicle insurance
Phone and data plan
Protective gear (helmet, gloves)
Traffic fines and violations
Parking fees
Any other business-related expenses
Bring-Am does not reimburse these expenses.
8.2 Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable taxes on your earnings
Bring-Am will provide earnings summaries for tax purposes
Consult a tax professional for advice on your tax obligations
Bring-Am does not withhold taxes from your payments
8.3 Insurance Coverage
Required:
Third-party vehicle insurance (for motorized vehicles)
Must remain valid at all times
Recommended:
Comprehensive vehicle insurance
Personal accident insurance
Health insurance
Important: Bring-Am does not provide insurance coverage for riders. You must obtain your own insurance.

Damage to customer orders caused by your negligence
Loss of orders in your possession

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bring-Am from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your delivery activities

Accidents or injuries you cause

Injuries you sustain while making deliveries

Use the app while actively delivering for competing platforms
Operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Immediate account deactivation
